  1. 1 What happened? Owners of wheat companies made artificially high prices on wheat to make sure they stayed wealthy and so the poor stayed poor
    A Corn Law was first introduced in Britain in 1804
    In the 1830s it started
    designed to protect British farmers and landowner against cheap foreign grain imports being competitive with the crops of British landowners.

    2What was the political result?
    That the Corn Laws were set high to try and protect the wealthy people so they could get more money for their produce
    More people became poor
    The poor people went against the wealthy people / Corn Law
    Things were really expensive

    3How did life change for all concerned
    It radiy changed the poor people so they were able to pay and buy things
    They were making prices high so the rich people stayed rich and the poor satyed poor

    4Who were the important people involved in the movement?
    Many middle class people
    People affected by the prices of grain

    5What laws were enabled for the betterment of the workers?
    The prime minister Sir Robert peel in 1846 got rid of the law of everything being so high in price

    6How did the life of the entrepreneurs change due to these laws
    Lost money from the new law
